The four Academies (National Academy of Medicine, National Academy of Pharmacy, Academy of Sciences and Veterinary Academy of France) wish to remind that human health research still depends to some extent on the use of animals, that animal experiments are now strictly regulated in Europe and that they follow rigorous ethical criteria (European Directive 2010/63/EU)

In this context, the Academies welcome the approach of Gircor which, in the framework of the Transparency Charter on the use of animals for scientific and regulatory purposes in France, has just published, on 13 June 2022, its 2021 annual report.
