SOME REFLECTIONS ON THE LIFE OF THE INSTITUTION.
Between 1820 and 1836, the Academy did not publish the totality of its works but a selection in form of Mémoires. At that time, meetings summaries were issued in several medical Journals, as the Gazette de santé (Paris), which became the Gazette médicale de Paris, as well as the Archives générales de médecine and the Gazette des hôpitaux civils et militaires.
Published since 1836, the Bulletin de l'Académie nationale de médecine was initially published by Baillière Ed. until 1871, then by Masson Ed. until 1980.
Since 1981, the Academy is its own editor.
The periodicity of the Bulletin de l'Académie nationale de médecine varied with time : initially semi-monthly, then weekly, and finally monthly publication (9 issues per yr).
